Ben joined Tommys in 2021 after 20 years in professional rugby both as a player and as a senior leader at NZ Rugby and the Hurricanes Rugby franchise. Ben is a proud Wellingtonian and having lived and worked in different parts of New Zealand and offshore.

Ben moved to Tommys to establish the commercial arm of the Tommys business, starting as a one-person team and built the team to a six person team and a strong name and presence across Wellington in every property sector. After a number of years in high-performance environments, Ben knows how critical it is to work collectively, how important the discipline of preparation is, and that, bottom-line, results matter.

Ben has since moved into the Chief Executive Officer role at Tommys and now leads the Residential, Commercial and Property Management teams effectively known as the Tommy’s Group. Ben is charged with ensuring Tommys continues to evolve and works collectively to further enhance the strong reputation and successful results.

Ben has been instrumental in a number of significant transactions and was at the helm of the company when Tommy’s collected the REINZ Winners Award for marketing in 2023 as well as the REINZ Finalist Award for Largest Office Volume across the country in 2023.
